Mercantile Bank has begun foundation training for 50 newly recruited management trainee officers (MTO) to equip them with essential competencies for a successful banking career.
The training programme, designed to shape the next generation of banking leaders, commenced on Wednesday at the bank’s Training Institute, said a press release.
Managing Director Mati Ul Hasan inaugurated the programme as chief guest. Training and Development Head SM Salim Uddin chaired the event, while Deputy Managing Directors Zakir Hossain, Shamim Ahmed, Zahid Hossain and Shah Md Sohel Khurshid attended as special guests.
Hasan emphasised the importance of professionalism, integrity and adaptability in the rapidly evolving financial environment. He urged trainees to cultivate a customer-centric mindset, engage in continuous learning and apply their knowledge to drive the bank’s future growth.
The training curriculum is strategically structured to equip the new officers with competencies required for a successful banking career.
