Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) has launched three dedicated Country Desks for investors from China, South Korea and Japan to provide faster and more focused services. The desks were inaugurated at a “Meet the Investors” event held in Dhaka on Saturday, said a press release.
Investors from 38 countries have invested in the eight Export Processing Zones and two Economic Zones under BEPZA. China, South Korea and Japan are the top three investor countries. The desks will provide information, guidance and support to existing and prospective investors.
BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Mohammad Moazzem Hossain said the event would help strengthen partnerships, listen directly to investors and make the investment environment more competitive. He said BEPZA signed investment agreements with 36 enterprises during FY2025-26, and exports from BEPZA zones reached $8.41 billion, up 2.22 per cent from the previous fiscal year.
