As the Eid-ul-Fitr arrives on the soft heels of spring this year, men’s Eid fashion finds itself in a season of renewal. The heavy and muted layers of winter are now being replaced by breathable fabrics, fluid silhouettes and colours that echo the shifting sky.
Eid is not only a celebration of faith but also an opportunity for self-expression, and this year, men are embracing it with confidence, restraint, and quiet elegance. Local fashion houses such as Bishwo Rang, Sadakalo, Kaycraft, and Enigma are leading the way.
“This year’s Eid theme draws deeply from the spiritual essence of Ramadan, a month of purification, restraint and inner peace. True peace is reflected in nature, which inspired our collection,” said Biplob Saha, founder and creative head of Bishwo Rang.
The Panjabi
The panjabi remains the undisputed hero of men’s Eid wear. “Wearing a new panjabi on Eid is part of our culture and lifestyle. Alongside that, we are also offering fatua, casual shirts, polo shirts, and T-shirts,” said Khalid Mahmood Khan, Managing Director and CEO of Kaycraft.
Sadakalo’s managing director, Azharul Hoque Azad, agreed: “Panjabi is the staple of our menswear, and this Eid is no different.”
Yet tradition is being subtly reimagined. Tailored cuts, structured shoulders, and sharper collars give the classic garment a contemporary edge. “Younger customers enjoy experimental graphics and modern cuts, while older patrons prefer comfort and elegance. We’ve blended both approaches this Eid,” noted Biplob Saha.
Pairings have evolved, too. Slim trousers or tapered ankle-length bottoms have replaced standard pajamas, reflecting a generation that honours heritage while living in the present. Panjabis from brands like Bishwo Rang, Kaycraft and Sadakalo start around TK 1,500.
Fusion of tradition and modernity
The buzzword this season is fusion. Designers are breathing new life into heritage wear with modern silhouettes, asymmetrical cuts, and Indo-Western styling. Enigma specialises in this trend.
“Inspired by the ever-changing moods of the seasons, our brand celebrates refined fusion wear that bridges tradition and modernity,” said Julia Islam Molly, the lead designer and founder of Enigma.
This Eid, the brand presents Indo-Western silhouettes for all ages, creating trend-forward pieces that highlight individuality. What sets them apart is their meticulous attention to materials.

Return of the spring colours
Spring inevitably brings the colours back into the wardrobe. This year, designers are leaning more into muted pastels- sage green, dusty lilac, powder blue and buttercream. Alongside, grounded earth tones like sand, olive and warm terracotta are also getting priority this season. These shades feel seasonally appropriate, festive and yet elegant.
Kay Kraft’s Eid ul Fitr Collection of this year reflects this philosophy. Sadakalo, while remaining faithful to its signature black-and-white aesthetic, has also tried to bring out the festive mood with its creative designs and intricate embroidery.
Bishwo Rang goes bold, offering shades from classic whites and off-whites to rich maroons, golden hues, and soft sky blues.
Fabrics that breathe
Comfort is key. Lightweight cotton, linen blends, and soft silk-cotton fabrics dominate this year, allowing movement and airflow for long days of prayers and family gatherings.
“We are leaning toward premium cotton fabric while crafting our garments this Eid. It is soft, breathable and ideal for spring-time wear, helping ensure comfort without compromising on elegance,” said Azad.

Texture is playing a key role this year. Embroidered collars, minimal threadwork along plackets, and hand-done detailing add depth without overwhelming the silhouette. The modern Eid ensemble is clean-cut but not exactly plain either. It is detailed and yet disciplined.
“A variety of fabrics have been used, including dhupian silk, joy silk, tasar silk, soft silk, katan, velvet and other textured materials. These rich textiles provide the festive feel while the silhouettes and detailing maintain elegance and restraint,” said Biplob Saha.

No Eid look is complete without the right footwear. Considering the season and the occasion, traditional sandals make the best choices. Leather nagras and minimalist loafers in brown or black colour are also a popular choice. Accessories remain minimal, clean and refined this year- classic watches, understated rings and occasionally a light shawl for early morning prayers.
A celebration of faith and festivity
Ultimately, Eid-ul-Fitr is one of the biggest festivals in our country. It holds deep spiritual significance for our muslim majority population, yet beyond that, it is a celebration of shared joy. It is a time when streets brighten, homes fill with guests, and markets hum with anticipation.
The local markets and the shopping malls are already overflowing with eager customers. “Overall, the majority of apparel sales occur during Eid-ul-Fitr. We prepare the whole year for Eid, investing in design and production,” said Azad.
“The Eid market is gradually improving. Men tend to shop more during the last days of Ramadan. We expect a very good response during the final ten days,” said Khalid.
The mood of festivity is already in the air. Buying new clothes and wearing them on the day of Eid has become a part of this whole festival. Menswear this Eid embodies that very sense of renewal- the spiritual cleansing of Ramadan transitioning into celebration. From light, breathable fabrics to thoughtfully tailored silhouettes, men are embracing this Eid with comfort, elegance and a subtle statement of style.
