Lt Col Md Mahmudul Hasan psc has taken charge as Director (Operations and Maintenance) of the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
He replaces outgoing Director (Operations and Maintenance) Lt Col Mohammad Tajul Islam Chowdhury sgp psc.
The handover and assumption of duties took place on March 29, 2026.
Lt Col Md Mahmudul Hasan was commissioned in the Infantry Corps of the Bangladesh Army.
He completed a Master’s degree in Defence Studies from Bangladesh University of Professionals and is a graduate of the Defence Services Command and Staff College in Mirpur.
