Goals from Sadio Mané and Cristiano Ronaldo gave Al-Nassr a 2–0 win over Al-Ittihad on Friday, sending the Riyadh club three points clear at the top of the Saudi Pro League table.
Al-Nassr struck first after just nine minutes when Mané met a cross with a crisp first-time finish. The Senegalese forward then turned provider in the 35th minute, delivering a pinpoint ball that Ronaldo headed past goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic from close range.
The victory extended Al-Nassr’s perfect start to the season, making it four wins from four matches and keeping them top of the standings with 12 points. Defending champions Al-Ittihad slipped to second after suffering their first defeat of the campaign.
Ronaldo’s goal was his fourth in the league this season, placing him second in the scoring charts behind teammate João Félix, who remains on five despite missing several chances on the night.
Al-Ittihad rarely threatened and managed just two shots on target throughout the match. A late push in the second half failed to trouble Brazilian goalkeeper Bento, who ensured Al-Nassr kept a clean sheet.
