A man was killed by miscreants in South Tutpara Boro Khalpar area of Khulna early Friday.
The deceased was identified as Md Ismail, 32, a resident of the same area.
The incident occurred around 12:15am, police said.
Attackers shot Ismail in the head, leaving him critically injured. He was taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH), where doctors declared him dead.
Md Shafiqul Islam, officer‑in‑charge of Khulna Sadar Police Station, confirmed the death.
Police visited the scene to collect evidence, and the body was sent to the KMCH morgue for autopsy.
Law enforcement authorities said investigations are underway to identify those involved and determine the motive behind the murder.
