A case has been filed against a man, accused of harassing a woman on a bus in Mohammadpur, Dhaka.
The victim, Sidratul Muntaha Rahman Tibro, lodged the complaint under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act 2000 with Dhanmondi Police Station on Friday morning, confirmed Officer-in-Charge Kazi Mohammad Rafique Ahmed.
The accused, Mohammad Nizam Uddin, 45, who lives in a rented house in Ati Bazar, Keraniganj, was arrested by the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) from Mohammadpur on Thursday. A mobile phone was also seized from his possession during the operation.

According to police, Nizam allegedly harassed the woman over her attire while she was travelling on a Ramzan Paribahan bus on Monday afternoon.
A video of the incident later went viral on social media, sparking widespread outrage and criticism of law enforcement agencies for not taking immediate action.
RAB said the arrest was made swiftly to prevent any unrest following the viral video. The detainee has been handed over to Mohammadpur Police Station, and further legal action is underway.
