Anticipation is building around the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha release ‘Malik’, starring Arifin Shuvoo and Bidya Sinha Mim in the lead roles.
The film recently wrapped filming for its item song, ‘Gul Guli Pitha’, at the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation, featuring around 200 dancers in a large-scale production.
The song has been voiced by Mila Islam and Pratik Hasan, with music composed by Adit Rahman and lyrics written by Lutfor Hasan. Director Saif Chandan said details about the song will not be revealed at this stage.
Malik marks the on-screen reunion of Shuvoo and Mim after four years. The duo was last seen together in the 2019 film Sapludu. For the new project, Mim underwent around six weeks of intensive training, including martial arts, body language development and action choreography.
Director Saif Chandan said filming and dubbing for the movie have been completed, with post-production currently underway.
Although the team has yet to make an official announcement, leaked footage and behind-the-scenes images have already sparked curiosity among audiences.
He added that the production team plans to launch the official promotional campaign in phases, releasing the poster, songs and trailer together ahead of submission to the censor board.
The action-driven film centres on a story of territorial power struggles in a local setting.
