Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu has conveyed condolences to Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the government, and people of the country amid casualties from monsoon floods and landslides.
Speaking on behalf of the Maldivian government and people, Muizzu said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost loved ones and with all those whose livelihoods have been disrupted.”
He affirmed Maldives’ solidarity with Bangladesh during this period and wished safety, strength, and swift recovery for affected communities.
