Dhaka and Chattogram Labour Legal Aid Cells, operating under the National Legal Aid Services Organisation (NLASO), have provided legal assistance in 4,544 cases at government expense.

This data is part of a report on legal aid services delivered through the NLASO offices from 2009 to 2025.

According to the report, a total of 451,886 cases have received government-funded legal support for litigants who are financially unable to bear the costs.

These legal aid services are extended through a network comprising 64 District Legal Aid Offices, Supreme Court Legal Aid Office, Dhaka and Chattogram Labour Legal Aid Cells, Government Legal Aid National Helpline Call Centre (toll-free 16699), and services provided for prisoners.

This provision of legal aid is conducted under Legal Aid Services Act, ensuring access to justice for insolvent and underprivileged litigants across the country with state funding.

NLASO operates under the supervision of Law and Justice Division of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
