BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s condition currently remains the same as before and is currently able to successfully receive the medical treatment being provided to her, according to her physician and BNP Standing Committee Member Dr AZM Zahid Hossain.
The physician revealed the information to journalists outside Evercare Hospital around 9pm on Saturday.
He said, “We hope Khaleda Zia will recover as she continues to receive treatment.”
Dr Zahid said that acting chairman Tarique Rahman is continuously monitoring Khaleda Zia’s treatment and providing guidance. Her treatment is being coordinated by doctors from the country’s medical board as well as Dr Zubaida Rahman and physicians from several countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Singapore, and China.
Begum Khaleda Zia will be taken abroad if her physical condition improves and the medical board advises it, he said.
Dr Zahid requested political leaders and activists not to crowd the hospital area to ensure uninterrupted treatment for Khaleda Zia and other patients.
