Actor Khairul Basar, one of the most talked-about faces on the small screen, is currently recovering after sustaining injuries while shooting in Thailand.
Following his doctor’s advice, the actor is resting for now. Despite the setback, several positive developments have come his way.
One of the biggest pieces of news is the success of his single-episode drama Pothohara Mon.
The drama has already crossed 12 million, or 1.2 crore, views, earning a strong response from viewers within a short time of its release.
Meanwhile, the release date of Basar’s upcoming television series Phire Asar Golpo has also been confirmed.
Director Muhammad Mostofa Kamal Raj said the drama will premiere on the Cinemawala YouTube channel from 7 October, with new episodes released every Wednesday and Thursday at noon.
Bashar plays a character named Adil in the series and is optimistic about the project.
According to the actor, the family-oriented story will allow viewers to find reflections of familiar lives while also exploring relationship struggles and unexpected developments.
“Viewers will find familiar aspects of their own lives in the story. At the same time, the twists and relationship conflicts will make the journey engaging,” Bashar said.
Another new drama featuring Basar and Sadnima Binte Noman, titled Shorol Jotilota, was recently released on RTV’s YouTube channel.
Based on a story by Asaduzzaman Sohaag, the drama was directed by Subroto Sanjib.
Basar and Sadnima have previously appeared together in several popular dramas, including Goldfish, Kacher Keu, Gontobber Khonje, Jin O Porir Songsar, Tumi Amar, Golpota Theke Jay, Agley Rekho Amay, Tomake Pawar Jonno, Boi Poka, Ei Shohore, Chhayasongi, Irar Poddo, Jalkouri, Bhotbhoti and Irar Poddo 2.
Their latest project, Saral Jotilota, has also begun attracting viewers’ attention.
Although the Thailand accident has forced Basar to take a temporary break from shooting, the actor continues to remain in the spotlight with one successful project after another.
The steady stream of new releases and upcoming work is adding another promising chapter to his career.
