The war of words between actor-politician Kangana Ranaut and Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) spokesperson Saurav Das has intensified, with Das dismissing her remarks as “frustrated” and saying he holds no personal grudge against the BJP MP despite their public exchange, reports The Indian Express.
The verbal clash between Kangana Ranaut and CJP spokesperson Saurav Das continues to escalate days after the actor’s controversial comments about Gen Z protesters sparked widespread backlash.
Speaking to journalist Barkha Dutt on The Mojo Story, Das responded to Kangana’s recent personal remarks, saying the disagreement should be resolved through dialogue rather than insults.
Das insisted he had no personal animosity towards the actor and accused her of making the disagreement personal.
“I have nothing personal against Kangana. She is the one making personal remarks against Gen Z and now against me,” he said.
Referring to a message he posted on Instagram, Das added, “Yo, Kangana, just take a chill pill. Let’s talk this out.”
He argued that meaningful discussion has become increasingly rare and urged public figures to choose their words carefully.
“The problem in this country is that people don’t talk anymore. There is less deliberation, discussion and debate. We should stay within our limits while speaking,” he said.
‘My friends say I look like a young Hrithik Roshan’
Responding to Kangana’s repeated criticism, Das revealed that some of his friends had joked about the attention he had been receiving.
“My friends were texting me asking why she was after my life. One of them even said I look a little like a young Hrithik Roshan,” he said, adding that he was surprised by the comparison.
Das also criticised Kangana’s tone, saying she appeared frustrated.
“I would just say, be careful with your words. Don’t sound frustrated. These are not the words of someone who is mentally stable. Think before speaking about the future generation of this country because, ultimately, public representatives serve the people,” he said.
When asked whether he would be willing to meet Kangana over coffee, Das replied that he would.
“We harbour no ill will against anybody, including BJP MPs,” he said.
The dispute began after Kangana criticised videos from the CJP-led student protests, describing some protesters as the “gutter generation” and saying their behaviour was “puke-inducing.”
She also questioned the upbringing of some participants and accused them of promoting vulgarity through their protest videos.
Das rejected those remarks, claiming even members of Kangana’s own party did not take her seriously.
He also referred to an earlier video in which Kangana spoke about the workload of being a Member of Parliament, arguing that it reflected her attitude towards public office.
Kangana later responded on Instagram, questioning why Das still identified himself as a student at the age of 28.
“I just Googled this person and he is 28 years old. He claims to be a student. I have no clue how,” she wrote.
The actor also defended her earlier comments about finding parliamentary responsibilities overwhelming, saying she balances multiple professional roles as an actor, filmmaker, producer, screenwriter and entrepreneur.
She then launched a personal attack on Das, writing that someone “totally useless and unemployed” could not understand what it meant to remain in demand throughout a career.
The exchange has fuelled an ongoing political and social media debate following the nationwide student protests over alleged NEET examination irregularities.
