Members of the National Consensus Commission will meet with Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus at the state guesthouse Jamuna on Monday afternoon.
According to commission sources, the meeting will focus on detailed discussions regarding the draft recommendations for implementing the “July National Charter.”
Based on the chief adviser’s feedback, necessary additions or revisions may be made to the draft. If no changes are suggested, the final draft may be submitted to the government on Monday, the sources said.
A member of the commission said, “The Chief Adviser also serves as the commission’s president. His opinion is important to the recommendations we are preparing. That’s why the meeting will be held under his leadership.”
The proposed implementation framework begins with issuing an order titled “July National Charter (Constitutional Reform) Implementation Order.” Under this order, an ordinance related to a national referendum will be issued, through which the referendum will be conducted.
A total of 84 reform proposals from the July Charter will be annexed to the order. However, differing views from political parties will not be included; only the commission’s finalized proposals will be mentioned.
