Japanese Universities Alumni Association of Bangladesh (JUAAB) and KAICOM Co Ltd have signed a software development agreement to simplify the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) registration process.
The initiative aims to make the system easier and more automated as the number of Bangladeshi learners of the Japanese language is rising.
The agreement was signed on 30 April at the JUAAB office in the capital.
JUAAB President and National University Treasurer Professor ATM Zafarul Ahsan signed for JUAAB, while KAICOM Founder and CEO Anjan Das signed for the company.
Others present included former JUAAB President Professor Mohammad Khorshed Alam, JUAAB Senior Vice President and University of Asia Pacific Treasurer Professor Mohammad Abdullah Khan, University of Asia Pacific Acting Vice Chancellor Professor Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, members of the JUAAB executive committee, and KAICOM officials.
JUAAB is a non-political social organisation of Bangladeshi graduates from Japanese universities working in public and private institutions.
The organisation has long been responsible for organising the JLPT in Bangladesh in cooperation with the Japan Foundation and the Embassy of Japan in Dhaka.
A modern software solution will be developed under the agreement to make the JLPT registration process more efficient, accessible and hassle-free for learners.
