The Dhaka-based Jhalakathi Forum held a general meeting on September 2 at the forum’s Dhaka office. The meeting was chaired by the forum’s president, Laskar Md Taslim, and managed by Acting General Secretary Adv Md Tarikul Islam. Based on the opinions of the attending members, an executive committee was formed for the 2026-27 term.
The newly elected committee includes Laskar Md Taslim as president, Md Enayet Hossain Zakaria as vice president, Sheikh Niamul Karim as general secretary, and Tarikul Islam as joint general secretary. The team also features Mir Bahar Amirul Islam as treasurer, Laskar Sabbir Ahmed as social welfare secretary, and Khan Md Mojazzem Hossain as office secretary.
Other members are Syed Azizul Haque serving as sports secretary, Syed Hamidul Haque as education secretary, Barrister Sheikh Moinul Karim as legal secretary, Md Nuruzzaman Nawab handling publicity, and Md Iqbal Hossain managing publications. The committee also includes Md Firoz Alam as an executive member.
