Junior Chamber International (JCI) Dhaka North has announced its board of directors for 2026 at its annual general assembly held at the Lakeshore Hotel in Dhaka, marking the chapter’s 25th anniversary, according to a press release.
JCI Bangladesh President Arefeen Raafi Ahmed attended the event alongside Deputy National President Shaan Shahed, National Secretary General Sinan Arefeen and National Treasurer Masrur Mahmood Shuvo, according to a press release.
Former national presidents Ziaul Haque 2023 and Imran Kadir 2024 were also present, as were past presidents of JCI Dhaka North from its founding year to its most recent term. Founding President Senator Data Magfur joined the gathering along with industry professionals, community leaders and media representatives.
The election committee was chaired by JCI Bangladesh 2025 National Vice President Sahariar Hasan Jiisun, who oversaw the proceedings.
Shafiuddin Ala Raju was elected President for 2026. Outgoing President Sumaiya Haque formally handed over the presidential chain during the ceremony.
S M Mohiuddin Salim was elected Executive Vice President, while Shaikh Ahmed Showmik and Rahat Bin Haque were elected Vice Presidents.
Md Nur Nabi Mehedi will serve as Secretary General and Zakia Ferdous Nondita as Treasurer. Mehrab Mansur has been named General Legal Counsel and Rashad Reaz Training Commissioner.
The extended leadership team includes Irfanur Rahman as Executive Assistant to the Local President, Fardin Al Gafur as Strategic Planning Commissioner, Rabbi Sarkar as Sports and Events Committee Chairperson, Omar Faruq Fahim as International Affairs Chairperson and Farzana Islam Moury as JCI in Business Chairperson.
The board of directors comprises Abdur Rahman Adeeb, Nayeem Hossain Majumdar, Rakibul Hasan, Shah Shafiur Jalal and Abdur Rouf.
