Janata Bank PLC held its Rangpur divisional branch managers’ conference in Rangpur on Sunday, 14 June 2026, bringing together senior executives and branch managers to review operational priorities, customer service delivery and loan recovery performance. The meeting focused on strengthening deposit mobilisation and improving the recovery of classified loans amid current operating conditions.
The conference was attended by Managing Director Md Mujibur Rahman as chief guest and was presided over by General Manager of the Rangpur Divisional Office Md Abdul Barek Chowdhury. Deputy Managing Director Kazi Abdur Rahman and General Manager of the Head Office Mohammad Safayet Hossain also attended as special guests, the bank said in a press statement.
Senior executives from the Rangpur divisional office and area offices, along with managers of branches under the division, participated in the event. Discussions centred on improving operational efficiency across branches and ensuring stronger coordination between field offices and head office directives.
Addressing the conference, Managing Director Md Mujibur Rahman instructed branch managers to enhance customer service standards, increase deposit inflows and strengthen efforts to recover classified loans in line with the bank’s current strategic priorities.
He emphasised that sustained improvement in deposit growth and asset quality would be critical for maintaining stability and competitiveness in the prevailing banking environment. Branch-level execution, he added, would play a central role in achieving institutional targets.
The conference formed part of Janata Bank’s ongoing efforts to review divisional performance and align branch operations with broader organisational goals, particularly in areas of credit discipline and customer engagement.
