Jamuna Bank PLC recently hosted its School Banking Conference 2025 at the auditorium of Kadba Talagram Taribi Charan Laha High School, a prominent educational institution in Barura upazila of Cumilla, as part of its financial literacy initiative.
The event was graced by Iqbal Mohsin, director of the Financial Inclusion Department of Bangladesh Bank.
Speaking as chief guest, he emphasised the importance of financial literacy.
“Financial literacy is not just an education; it is a critical foundation for future life.
Proper planning and savings can help you contribute to both your personal development and the nation’s economic progress,” Mohsin said.
The event also saw the presence of the head teacher, assistant head teacher, and president of the school’s managing committee as special guests.
The programme was presided over by Abdus Sobhan, executive vice president and head of the Banking Operation Division at Jamuna Bank.
“It is our collective responsibility to spread the values of financial discipline and savings among the younger generation,” Sobhan said.
The Barura branch manager of Jamuna Bank and the school’s teachers were also in attendance.
