International University of Business Agriculture and Technology hosted the Miyan Publication Reward 2026 at its campus on Tuesday, the university said in a press release.
The programme was held at 12:30pm at the IUBAT conference room, recognising contributions of faculty members and researchers in academic publications.
Miyan Research Institute Director Professor Dr Sajal Saha delivered the welcome speech.
IUBAT Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Abdur Rab presided over the programme, with Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Md Mahmudur Rahman present.
IUBAT Faculty of Engineering Dean Professor Dr Dewan Muhammad Nuruzzaman, IUBAT School of Computer Science and Engineering Dean Professor Dr Utpal Kanti Das, IUBAT Business School Dean Professor Dr Mozaffar Alam Chowdhury, Registrar Professor Dr Md Momtazur Rahman, and Controller of Examinations Brigadier General Retd Dr Md Jahid Hossain were also present, along with faculty members and researchers.
A total of 176 researchers were honoured for 690 publications under the programme.
Of these, 257 were indexed in ISI journals, 192 in Scopus-indexed journals, 209 in Scopus conference proceedings and Scopus book chapters, five in Scopus books, and 27 in IUBAT Review articles.
The university said it continues efforts to improve research quality and expects such recognition programmes to encourage greater contributions from researchers.
