Actor Isha Rikhi has shared an emotional statement on social media amid growing speculation about her relationship with singer-rapper Badshah, saying she had remained silent out of fear and was now choosing “courage over fear,” reports Hindustan Times.
The post comes just weeks after Isha confirmed her marriage to Badshah during an Instagram interaction, referring to him as her “Pati Dev.”
Taking to Instagram on Monday, Isha shared a note describing an emotional struggle without naming anyone directly.
“There are battles that leave no visible scars. For a long time, I remained silent because I was afraid. I felt overwhelmed by the influence, power, and resources I believed my husband had, and I convinced myself that staying quiet was the safest thing to do,” she wrote.
She continued: “Silence was never acceptance. It was survival. Today, I’m choosing courage over fear. I may not be ready to tell the whole story, but I’m finally ready to stop pretending that everything was okay.”
The actor accompanied the post with a broken-heart emoji.
Several celebrities expressed their support in the comments.
Jasmin Bhasin, Suyyash Rai, Shruti Sodhi, Sana Makbul, Sahil Anand, and content creator Kavita sent messages encouraging Isha and praised her for speaking out.
Speculation about trouble in the couple’s marriage first emerged after Isha shared a montage of photos and videos featuring herself and Badshah with the caption: “Every storm is a lesson. Every prayer is hope,” alongside heartbreak and folded-hands emojis.
The post prompted widespread discussion on social media, with fans questioning whether the couple had separated.
Rumours of Badshah and Isha Rikhi’s wedding first surfaced in March after Isha’s mother, Poonam Rikhi, shared photographs and videos that appeared to show an intimate wedding ceremony attended by close family and friends.
Badshah later fuelled speculation by posting photographs with an unidentified woman, captioning them: “Universe has a strange way of putting people in your life.”
In June, Isha publicly confirmed the marriage during an Instagram Q&A after a fan asked why she and Badshah did not follow each other on the platform.
Responding humorously, she wrote: “Yes, I am married. Now, coming to the most asked question: Why don’t you follow each other? Honestly, I think my husband owes all of you an explanation. Pati Dev (Badshah), the audience has questions. Please address them at your earliest convenience.”
Neither Badshah nor his representatives have publicly responded to Isha’s latest statement or the speculation surrounding their relationship.
While her post has intensified rumours of a possible separation, neither party has officially confirmed a split.
