After nearly two and a half years away from the stage, independent music platform Hatirpool Sessions reunited with live audiences in Dhaka, sharing the spotlight with Kaaktaal and Firoze Jong at a concert celebrating the country’s alternative music scene.
Titled ‘Haati Shomachar’, the event took place on 16 October at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) Auditorium in Farmgate.
Presented by Sense It and organised by Twenties Communications, the concert brought together three acts with distinct musical styles.
Hatirpool Sessions’ return marked a moment for fans who had been waiting to experience the platform’s music in a live setting again.
Known for bringing musicians together through collaborative performances and original songs, the project has built a following among listeners drawn to Bangladesh’s independent music scene.
Kaaktaal and Firoze Jong joined the line-up, adding to an evening centred on live performance and musical exchange. The concert also celebrated the sense of community that has long shaped Dhaka’s independent music culture.
Hatirpool Sessions began as a project among friends who wanted to record and share music by emerging artists. Over time, it developed into a platform for collaborations between new voices and established musicians.
The concert offered the group an opportunity to reconnect with audiences and bring its collaborative spirit back to the stage.
