Veteran actress Dilara Zaman shares the screen with Tania Brishty and newcomer Abid Bin Pranto in the upcoming drama ‘Dadir Ador’, a family story that also marks Brishty’s most recent acting project before her brain tumour diagnosis.

Written and directed by Zulfikar Islam Shishir, the drama will be released on YouTube tomorrow, Pranto said.

Dilara Zaman, an Ekushey Padak and National Film Award recipient, has played grandmother figures in numerous productions. She said she enjoyed working on the drama, which was filmed earlier this year.

“I have played grandmothers many times in my acting career. I worked on ‘Dad ir Ador’ at the beginning of this year. Brishty is a very good actress, and I felt deeply saddened when I heard that she had fallen ill. Now I hear that she is recovering. I pray to Allah for her speedy recovery,” Dilara said.

She also praised Pranto’s performance, describing him as a promising young actor, and said the drama has a beautiful story.

“Dilara Zaman aunty is like a great tree in our acting world. Whenever I have worked with her, I have received her affection and love. She is a school of acting and a guide for us. I have high hopes for ‘Dad ir Ador’,” Brishti said.

Pranto said Dilara plays his grandmother in the drama. It is his second production with Brishti, following ‘Joyitar Dinratri’, directed by Tuhin Hossain.

He thanked Shishir for giving him the opportunity to work alongside the two actresses.

For Brishty, who is currently recovering from a brain tumour, the drama remains her latest completed work.

Dilara and Pranto expressed their affection and hopes for her recovery as they looked forward to the release.
