US President Donald Trump has warned that Iran would be “blown off the face of the Earth” if it attacks American vessels operating under “Project Freedom” in the Strait of Hormuz.
In a media interview, Trump said he believes Iran has become “much more malleable” during ongoing peace negotiations, while emphasising that the United States is continuing to strengthen its military footprint in the region, reports Al Jazeera.
“We have more weapons and ammunition at a much higher grade than we had before,” Trump told Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst.
He added that the US possesses advanced military equipment and maintains well-stocked bases worldwide, which could be deployed if required.
