Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has accused the United States and Israel of breaching three key clauses of Tehran’s proposed ceasefire framework, saying that under such circumstances “a bilateral ceasefire or negotiations” would be “unreasonable.”
In a post on X, Ghalibaf said the plan included provisions relating to Lebanon, which he noted had been rejected by the White House.
He also cited reports of a drone entering Iran’s southern Fars province, though the Israel Defense Forces told the BBC they were “not aware” of such an incident.
As a third point, he stressed that Iran’s right to uranium enrichment was embedded in the proposal, echoing a statement from the Supreme National Security Council broadcast on state television.
The conflict involving the United States and Israel inside Iran began on 28 February, two days after the latest round of nuclear talks.
Unconfirmed reports have suggested that the Trump administration had considered Ghalibaf as a possible negotiating partner and even a potential future leader of Iran.
