The death toll from an overnight collision between two passenger trains outside Jakarta has doubled to 14, state‑owned rail operator KAI said Tuesday.

“Based on the latest data as of 08:45 WIB (0145 GMT), 14 people have been confirmed dead,” the company said in a statement, AFP reports.

Another 84 people were treated in hospitals.
