A fire broke out at Incepta Pharmaceuticals’ factory in Dharmarai, Dhaka, due to an electrical short circuit. The fire was brought under control after one hour of effort by three units of the Fire Service.
The blaze began on the fourth floor of Building No. 9 at around 6:30pm on Saturday. Firefighters arrived quickly on the scene, and after nearly an hour of work, the fire was completely contained using the hydrant system.
No serious injuries were reported, but the IPS system was damaged. The full extent of the damage will be determined after an investigation.
Dharmarai Fire Station Officer Md. Sohel Rana stated, “We reached the scene around 6:30 PM after receiving the news. Our three units worked to control the fire, and after one hour of effort, we successfully brought it under control. The fire was caused by an electrical short circuit.”
