However, the actor has now opened up about a long-rumoured chapter of his past, revealing that he once seriously wanted to marry a woman from outside the entertainment industry.
The revelation came during a recent television talk show, where actress Purnima brought up Shakib Khan’s past relationship.
She said the actor had once been deeply involved with a young woman from Gulshan and had even planned to marry her.
Responding to Purnima’s remarks, Shakib confirmed the relationship.
“I seriously wanted to marry her. She loved me very much, and I genuinely wanted to build a life with her,” he said.
Reflecting on the relationship, the actor became emotional as he recalled that period of his life.
“Sometimes I sit alone and think about whom I wanted, whom I loved and where life eventually took me. She deserved much better. I just hope she is doing well,” Shakib said.
The actor did not reveal the woman’s identity.
