Bangladeshi origin forward Farhan Ali Wahid has taken another step towards playing in the English Premier League. The young striker made his first appearance for Fulham’s senior team in a pre season friendly after signing his first professional contract with the club in 2025.
Farhan came off the bench at the start of the second half against Norwich City on Saturday. He replaced a teammate in the 46th minute and made his senior debut for Fulham. The London club lost the match 2 0. Farhan did not score or provide an assist.
Pre season matches usually receive limited coverage. Because of that, there is little information about individual performances. Fulham’s official website, however, said Farhan tested the Norwich goalkeeper with a curling effort.
The 19 year old enjoyed an excellent 2025 26 season in Premier League 2. His displays earned him the Player of the Month award in November. He also finished the season on the shortlist for the Player of the Season award.
Farhan has built a reputation for his speed, direct attacking style and ability to cut inside from the left wing.
His family roots are in Sylhet, although both of his parents were born in the United Kingdom. Farhan was also born there on December 9, 2006.
He began his football journey in Chelsea’s academy before joining Fulham’s youth system in 2019.
Farhan can represent England at international level. Bangladesh are also hoping to bring him into the national team.
The Bangladesh Football Federation started the process in May. Vice president Fahad Karim said the federation was working on Farhan’s Bangladeshi passport so he could become available for the September international window.
The federation is also considering him for Bangladesh’s squad for the SAFF Championship later this year.
