Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra has revealed that he has sustained a leg injury, sharing a photograph of his injured leg fitted with a medical walking boot on social media, writes Hindustan Times.
The actor posted the picture on his Instagram Story on Tuesday, 13 October, and accompanied it with a witty caption: “I took ‘break a leg’ too seriously.” His light-hearted remark turned the familiar expression into a joke about his injury.
However, Sidharth has not disclosed how he sustained the injury or provided further information about its severity. He has also not shared details about his treatment or recovery.
The update comes as the actor enjoys the attention surrounding his latest film, The Vvaan – Force of the Forrest, which also stars Tamannaah Bhatia. Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, the film was released in cinemas on 25 September.
Sidharth’s injury update comes days after he and his wife, actress Kiara Advani, announced that they are expecting their second child.
On 7 October, the couple shared the news through a joint social media post, featuring a pair of tiny knitted baby booties. Expressing their happiness, they wrote that they felt blessed once again and that their hearts were full of love and gratitude.
Kiara recently offered fans a glimpse into the family’s holiday through a collection of photographs featuring Sidharth and their daughter, Saraayah.
While keeping their daughter’s face away from public view, the actress shared intimate moments from their time together, including a photograph of the family’s footprints in the sand.
Sidharth and Kiara reportedly grew close while working together on the 2021 film Shershaah. Sidharth portrayed Captain Vikram Batra, while Kiara played Dimple Cheema, his partner. The film became an important milestone in both their professional and personal lives.
The actors married on 7 February, 2023, in a private ceremony at Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. They welcomed their daughter, Saraayah, in July 2025.
With the couple now preparing to welcome another child, their personal lives continue to attract attention from fans. Meanwhile, Sidharth has yet to share any further information about his leg injury.
