Home Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury and Inspector General of Police Baharul Alam paid tribute to the martyred police members of the Liberation War at Rajarbagh Police Lines memorial on Victory Day.

Meanwhile, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Director General Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui also paid homage to the martyrs of the Liberation War by placing a wreath at “Simanta Gaurab” at the BGB Headquarters in Pilkhana of Dhaka.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali also paid homage to the martyrs.

Leaders of the Bangladesh Police Service Association and Bangladesh Police Women Network paid tribute at the memorial afterwards.

Later BGB personnel presented a guard of honour in tribute to the fallen heroes on the occasion of the Victory Day on Tuesday.

Earlier, as part of the Victory Day programmes, the national flag was formally hoisted at sunrise at the BGB Headquarters in Pilkhana and at all BGB regions, institutions, sectors, battalions and units across the country.
