Holiday Inn Dhaka City Centre is set to bring the authentic flavours, traditions and cultural stories of Bangladesh’s hill regions to the capital through “Tin Paharer Golpo – Pahari Food Festival 2026”, from 19 to 31 August 2026.
Inspired by the rich culinary heritage of Rangamati, Khagrachhari and Bandarban, the festival is designed as more than a dining experience, celebrating the people, traditions, ingredients and distinctive food culture of the hills, reads a press release.
It will give guests in Dhaka an opportunity to experience authentic Pahari cuisine in a specially curated setting.
The festival will feature an extensive buffet showcasing traditional Pahari cooking techniques and regional ingredients.
Selected highlights include Pahari Chicken Hebaang, Bamboo Chicken Biryani, Bamboo Shoot Chicken, Mutton Hebaang, Chicken Mundi, Chingri Mundi, Dim Mundi, Traditional Laksu, Pahari Momos, Pahari Noodles with Spicy Chicken, traditional hill-style fish preparations, Binny Bhat, seasonal hill vegetables and Binni Chaler Payesh, alongside many other specially selected dishes.
The buffet is priced at Tk7,999 per person. Guests enjoying the festival buffet will also receive complimentary access to the hotel’s swimming pool, adding a leisure element to the experience.
To create an immersive Pahari atmosphere beyond the dining table, the hotel will feature specially curated Pahari stalls showcasing elements inspired by the traditional lifestyle, culture and craftsmanship of the hill regions.
A specially designed hill-inspired fountain installation in the hotel lobby will welcome guests and set the tone for the festival.
The celebration will also feature live music and traditional Pahari dance performances, bringing the rhythm, colours and cultural spirit of the hills to the heart of Dhaka.
