The “Sherpur-Dhunat Education Excellence Award 2025” was held today, 12 November 2025, at the Bogra’s Dhunat Government Degree College Auditorium under the social initiative “Samriddho Sherpur-Dhunat” by entrepreneur Asif Siraj Rabbani.
This event, the first-ever educational recognition program in the area, aimed to inspire excellence in education and foster intellectual and leadership development among the young generation.
A total of 368 meritorious students who achieved GPA-5 in HSC, Alim, and Technical Board examinations from Sherpur and Dhunat were selected for this honor.
The ceremony recognized only the meritorious students from Dhunat, with a similar event planned soon for Sherpur upazila, said the organisers.
Each awardee received a Crest, Certificate of Excellence, Branded Mug, Laptop Bag, and Notebook as tokens of appreciation.
Former Member of Parliament for Bogura-5 and 6 and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) nominated candidate Golam Mohammad Siraj attended as the Chief Guest.
He expressed pride in his son Asif Siraj Rabbani’s dedication to humanitarian causes and emphasized the need for a strong social movement against corruption in the region, urging students to participate actively.
Asif Siraj Rabbani, the initiator of “Samriddho Sherpur-Dhunat,” delivered an inspiring address, encouraging students to pursue leadership roles and aspire to become “Future Leaders” of the region.
He also pledged to support the higher education of meritorious students from the region, ensuring that financial hardship will not hinder their academic journey.
