On Saturday, Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser Shafiqul Alam stated that the government has no objections to BNP acting chairperson Tarique Rahman returning to Bangladesh.
The press secretary mentioned this in a post published on his official Facebook page.
This was in response to a statement made by Tarique Rahman earlier on the day, in which the BNP acting chairperson stated that the decision to return to the country was not under his sole control.
Shafiqul Alam further added that Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus has already expressed deep concern over Khaleda Zia’s physical condition and has asked the nation for prayers for her.
