Four calves have been born into the rare blue bull (Nilgai) family at the safari park in Sreepur, Gazipur.
The adorable calves spend their time frolicking with their mothers and running to hide inside the forest whenever they spot visitors, while people arriving at the park are deriving great joy from seeing them.
Park authorities first spotted calves a month ago in the deer safari section of the core safari area.
Md Raju Ahmed, wildlife inspector at the park, said that a month ago, the calves were seen with their mothers in the deer safari section of the core safari area, but the matter was not disclosed to the media earlier considering their overall safety.
He added that it has not been possible to identify whether the four calves are male or female yet, though all four are healthy, nursing regularly, and spending time frolicking and running around with other animals.
Md Tareq Rahman, officer-in-charge and assistant conservator of forests (ACF) at the safari park, said employees on duty in the core safari area first spotted a blue bull calf a month ago.

Keeping the security of the calves in mind, the information was not shared with the media at the time.
