Due to urgent rehabilitation work, gas supply will remain at low pressure for 10 hours on Friday, in several areas of the capital.
Titas Gas authorities disclosed the information in a notification issued on Thursday.
According to the notice, around 580 feet of the pipeline running from Demra CGS to Tejgaon TBS has become exposed in the Manikdi area. As a result, emergency rehabilitation work will be carried out from 10am to 8pm on Friday.
During this period, all categories of consumers will experience low gas pressure in Dhaka Cantonment, Gulshan, Banani, Tejgaon, Nandipara, Basabo, Khilgaon, Banasree, areas from Rampura Bridge to Malibagh Chowdhurypara, Mugda, Manda, Maniknagar (Dhalpur), Shahjahanpur and Gopibagh.
Titas Gas authorities have sincerely apologised to consumers for the temporary inconvenience.
