Flydubai has resumed international flight operations from Chattogram’s Shah Amanat International Airport after a suspension of one year and seven months, restoring direct connectivity on the Chattogram–Dubai route.
Regular flights on the route restarted on Wednesday, according to airport officials.
Shah Amanat International Airport Public Relations Officer Engineer Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil said the airline last operated on the route on August 31, 2024 before halting services due to operational constraints.
The resumption was facilitated through efforts by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh and airport authorities.
Under the revised schedule, Flydubai will operate one inbound and one outbound flight daily on the route.
As part of the resumed operations, flight FZ563 from Dubai landed in Chattogram at 8:45 am, while return flight FZ564 departed at 9:45 am carrying passengers to Dubai.
The reinstatement will add 14 international arrivals and departures per week, expected to boost passenger traffic through Chattogram.
Airport officials said they will ensure passenger service and safety standards are maintained.
