A fire broke out at the jhut (scrap fabric) market in Narayanganj city’s Palpara area on Saturday morning.
The blaze started near the Onukul Thakur Temple at the Samirkor Jhut Market, according to local sources.
Several units from the Mandalpara Fire Service responded promptly and were working to bring the flames under control at the time of reporting.
No casualties had been reported immediately, and officials said further details would be available once the situation is fully assessed.
