A fire broke out at the warehouse of Ananta Apparels inside Narayanganj’s Adamjee Export Processing Zone (EPZ).
Although nine units of the Fire Service managed to bring the blaze under control after nearly three hours, it was not fully extinguished as of the latest reports.
According to Fire Service sources, the fire was reported at 4:10am on Wednesday. The first unit reached the site at 4:14am and began efforts to contain the flames. Eventually, a total of nine units joined the operation.
The fire was brought under control at 7:10am. However, due to the large quantity of fabric stored in the warehouse, the flames could not be completely put out.

The Fire Service and Civil Defence control room said firefighters remain on alert as flammable materials are stored inside.
No casualties or injuries have been reported so far.
The cause of the fire and the extent of damage were not immediately known. Officials said an investigation will be conducted once the fire is extinguished.
