Emerging filmmaker Ali Adrian Zahedi has earned international recognition for his growing involvement in both cinema and youth leadership initiatives.
He was recently named an Outstanding Delegate at the second session of a Model United Nations conference styled on the United Nations General Assembly, organised by the House of Youth Dialogue.
The event took place on 25 and 26 April, where he represented Israel. Organisers cited his communication skills, analytical ability and active engagement as key factors behind the honour, which was accompanied by a commemorative crest.
Zahedi’s association with the screen began at a very early age. He first appeared in a television drama as a child before going on to feature in the Bangladeshi film ‘Kagoj – The Paper’, directed by his father, filmmaker Ali Zulfiqar Zahedi.
He later stepped into filmmaking himself, directing and acting in the short film ‘COVID 2020’ at the age of seven. The project received international attention, earning an honourable mention at a youth film festival in Russia and reaching the quarter-finals in the super short film category at the Student World Impact Film Festival in the US.
The festival is recognised for supporting young filmmakers through networking opportunities and industry exposure, including links to global distribution platforms.
Now a ninth-grade student at the Canadian Trillium International School, Zahedi continues to balance his academic work with creative pursuits and leadership activities, signalling a steady rise as a young talent to watch.
