ELF Lubricants Bangladesh has trained 50 mechanics on hybrid vehicle servicing during a full-day programme held at Continental Works Limited in Dhaka on Thursday.
The press release said the training focused on advanced diagnostics, hybrid transmission servicing, battery system care, electric motor inspection, high-voltage safety protocols and modern service practices.
ELF Lubricants Bangladesh is a French performance lubricant brand owned by TotalEnergies.
The initiative aims to build local technical expertise for next-generation vehicles and improve service standards as hybrid and electrified cars grow in number across the country.
“As vehicle technology advances, so must our skills,” said ELF Bangladesh Managing Director Dewan Shajedur Rahman.
He said the programme will equip technicians with the knowledge and tools to safely and effectively service hybrid vehicles to support cleaner and smarter mobility.
ELF Bangladesh Director Kosuke Yoshida said investing in mechanic skills strengthens the local service ecosystem and improves safety and sustainability nationwide.
The training brought together workshop owners, certified mechanics, vocational trainers, fleet service managers, automotive media, distributors and technical partners.
Commercial Sales Director of TotalEnergies Bangladesh Terry Hayashi attended the event as special guest.
ELF said the training was designed to be practical and locally relevant while maintaining alignment with global standards to ensure better performance, reduced downtime and longer vehicle lifespan.
The company said it remains committed to developing technical capacity for emerging automotive technologies to support Bangladesh’s transition toward efficient and sustainable mobility.
