The 77th birth anniversary of renowned novelist and filmmaker the late Humayun Ahmed falls was born on November 13, 77 years ago. Dr Ejajul Islam, who has appeared in numerous plays and films by the late legend, is widely recognised as one of Humayun Ahmed’s signature actors. His popularity grew through his effortless and humorous performances.
Over the years, Dr Ejaj has had a wealth of diverse experiences working with Humayun Ahmed, collecting countless memories filled with both joy and sorrow. Beyond seeing him as a writer or director, he also knew him closely as a person.
On the occasion of the beloved author’s birthday, Dr Ejaz shared some of his fondest memories of the littérateur on Maasranga Television’s ‘Ranga Shokal’ programme.
The actor spoke about his first meeting with Humayun Ahmed, their initial and final collaborations, amusing moments on set, their conversations and stories, their last encounter, and the sense of emptiness that followed his passing.
