Election Commission (EC) has instructed all officials and employees to maintain vigilance against fraudsters attempting to deceive them in the upcoming 13th parliamentary election and referendum.
A press release issued by EC warns that a group of fraudsters is actively attempting to collect mobile financial service (MFS) details, specifically Bkash numbers, from election officials.
The fraudsters are making deceptive promises of disbursing election-related honouraria using the telephone numbers 01342046232 and 01612677074.
EC has provided clear confirmation that all personnel involved in the electoral process will receive their due honouraria directly through their designated presiding officers, in strict accordance with established regulations.
It stressed that officials have no requirement to contact any external individual or organisation regarding these payments.
EC has issued a specific directive, urging all electoral officials to ignore communications from these fraudsters and to exercise extreme caution to prevent falling victim to such scams.
