Dhaka University Marketing Alumni Association organised an iftar and prayer gathering on Thursday at the Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban on the university campus.
The programme began with recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a special prayer seeking the welfare of the country, the nation and the wider Muslim community.
Dhaka University Marketing Alumni Association General Secretary Khondokar Md Rafik Hasan conducted the event.
Among those present were Dhaka University Marketing Alumni Association Executive Committee President Professor Ashraful Islam Chowdhury, Vice-President Kaniz Maola, Parliament Secretariat Secretary Dr Shariful Islam Dulu, former general secretaries and other members of the association.
Dhaka University Marketing Department Chairman Sirajul Haque, other teachers of the department, and current and former students also attended the event.
During the gathering, participants discussed providing treatment support for Arif Al Mamun Chowdhury, an alumnus of the BBA fourth batch of the Marketing Department who is suffering from colon cancer.
