Police have launched an investigation and primarily identified a suspect involved in the attack on Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Mancha.
In a press release issued on Saturday, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said they are actively working to apprehend the attackers and identified a suspect after scrutinising CCTV footage, the release added.
The DMP also released two photographs and requested public assistance to arrest the suspect. They urged anyone with information about the individual to contact the police immediately.

The DMP has assured that the identity of informants will be kept confidential and that appropriate rewards will be given for useful information.
Osman Hadi was critically injured after assailants riding a motorbike opened fire on him in Bijoynagar area on Friday afternoon. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with severe head injuries. Later at night, he was shifted to Evercare Hospital where he was battling for life.
