The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 433 people and filed 27 cases during regular operations across the capital in the past 24 hours.
According to official data, the arrests were made by various divisions and the Detective Branch. The Mirpur Division recorded the highest number with 122, followed by Motijheel Division with 96.
During the raids, police recovered 24.1 kg of cannabis, 940 yaba tablets, 30 mobile phones, three knives and an electric shock device. One vehicle and one motorcycle were also seized.
Police said one victim was rescued during the operations.
The drives were carried out in different areas of the capital to recover narcotics and apprehend suspects. Legal proceedings against those arrested are underway.
