Under Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 26 persons during raids conducted across the capital in the last 24 hours.
Police sources confirm that Gulshan, Sutrapur, Mohammadpur, Khilgaon, Paltan, Kalabagan, Jatrabari, Kadamtali, and Hatirjheel police stations carried out the operations. Of the arrested individuals, one was detained by Gulshan Police Station, four by Sutrapur, one by Mohammadpur, three by Khilgaon, five by Paltan, one by Kalabagan, seven by Jatrabari, three by Kadamtali, and one by Hatirjheel Police Station.
The information was confirmed by a press release signed by DMP’s Deputy Commissioner of the Media and Public Relations Division Muhammad Talebur Rahman on Sunday.
The arrested individuals are Md Ibrahim, Rabbi Hasan, Masum Ifad, Mun Sikder, Sagar Dey, Kabir Hossain alias Humayun Kabir alias Huma, Fazle Rabbi alias Nirob, Md Saidul Islam, Md Mahtin Islam Shakil, Md Billal Hossain, Md Rocky Mia, Md Yasin Mia, Mohammad Ali, Md Ismail Hossain, Md Selim alias Rahim, Golam Rabbi, Nasir Khan alias Nasir, Md Sajjad, Md Jalal, Md Hasan Ali alias Alam, Md Rana Pradhan, Renu Begum, Md Abhi, Md Saleh Ahmed Faisal, Md Roni, and Hasib.
The arrestees were sent to court for further legal action, DMP said.
