Novak Djokovic has admitted he is still struggling with injury issues and may not be ready in time for the upcoming Madrid Open, casting doubt over his participation in one of the key build-up events to the French Open.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion has endured a disrupted start to the season. He finished runner-up to Carlos Alcaraz in the Australian Open final in February and was later beaten by Jack Draper in the fourth round at Indian Wells.
