Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra, 89, was discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on Wednesday morning. The legendary actor had been admitted on 31 October after experiencing breathing difficulties.
An ambulance was seen leaving the hospital premises for his residence early in the morning, reports NDTV.
Confirming the development, Dr Pratit Samdani, who was overseeing the actor’s treatment, told NDTV, “Dharmendra was discharged around 7:30am. His treatment will continue at home, as per the family’s decision.”
The Deol family also issued an official statement expressing gratitude to fans and the media.
Earlier, false reports about Dharmendra’s death had circulated online, prompting his daughter Esha Deol to issue a clarification.
