Grameenphone has announced the second edition of FutureMakers, an AI-based idea competition inviting university students from all academic backgrounds to develop innovative solutions addressing social challenges under the theme “AI for Social Good.”
The competition features six challenge areas- digital inclusion and education; healthcare and mental wellbeing; upskilling and employment opportunities; gender equality and inclusion; environmental harmony and climate response; and safety, security and data privacy, said a press release on Wednesday.
Students can register online through the registration link, https://gpfuturemakers.com/, using a valid university ID by 30 September. Participants may apply individually or in teams of up to three members.
Applications will be evaluated by a panel of judges from different industries, technology startups and Grameenphone. Selected ideas will progress through a Concept Pitch and a mentor-led Ignition Chamber, where participants can further develop their ideas before presenting at the Gala.
Winners will receive prize money along with an accelerated pathway to Grameenphone’s flagship programmes.
